Hi everyone,
We have seen a lot of questions the last couple of weeks in our channels, and we have also noticed a lot of our users are still using the community channels to reach out to the team regarding technical issues with their app, and we would like to elaborate on some of these topics. Also, we want to provide an update on the situation regarding mining, the new website, and V5.0 of the Flits Wallet.
Support
First things first, we would like to, again, emphasize the fact that the Flits community channels are not being utilized to provide any kind of active support related to the Flits Wallet app. Of course, there are some types of questions where users can help each other and the community can provide a more prompt reply than the support team at times. But please understand there are risks when doing this, at the moment when a question is posted we know there are some very dedicated figures lurking in our channels ready to try and scam Flits users. So for your safety, it is always better to make use of the in-app Flits support system inside the app, where we can guard our users against these scammers.
Mining
As many users that have been involved in mining have already noticed, the payments at the moment are significantly lower and less regular than previously. The reason for this has to do with the drop of the value of BTC, but more importantly with the ongoing issues with the mining provider. A few weeks back, we shared an extensive and clear statement on the situation, and we promised to dive into it and understand what exactly is going on. Right now we do not have much more information available, but we can also conclude the situation has not improved since. Right now, a large portion of our miners is still "broken down", and we haven't received any updates on our previous requests. It looks like improvements are being made, but we are being confronted with ongoing maintenance, a lack of communication, a lack of commitment, irregular payments, lots of downtimes, a lot of system-related issues, and just overall poor customer interaction and care. All together reflecting badly on the Flits Wallet app and our products experience. We will keep looking for a dialogue and see what we can do for our users, but we also ask them to please respect the situation and understand what is going on. As for now, payments are still being made, maybe not as much as users may like, but we are running this feature as long as the operation is viable.
Flits Wallet Website
We are very proud to announce that we are also making some great progress with our new website! The new Flits website will be the center of our communication with our community and users. The new website will function as a hub with all the information about the project, but also serve the purpose of sharing and receiving information from the community. Overall, the website has a more clean and unique design that better fits the new app style and is completely based on the Flits Brand Identity we have created at the beginning of this year. With the new app and new website live The Flits Wallet is shaping itself more and more as a professional Fintech brand.
Flits Wallet V5.0
Right now, all the beta testers have been added to a dedicated group in Discord and are now awaiting further instructions. Like always, we have also encountered some minor issues with the release of our beta version of the app, due to the fact we support a lot of older OS versions of (especially) Android and iOS. Because we support such a large variety of device compatibility, we are not yet able to push the beta version of the app. We have already reached out to some external advisers who will be able to help out with this issue. In the meantime, we will also look into a solution that should resolve this issue in the future as well.
Q&A
We have also seen a lot of returning questions from users in the last couple of weeks, much of these questions have already been answered in previous announcements from the team, but we understand that not everyone has read those. Therefore, we have summed up some of these questions in a small Q&A:
1. Q: "Why do Swaps take so long to be processed?"
A: The Flits Wallet app swap is not an instant swap system, the system makes use of a third-party API with the exchange (currently Graviex). Based on the order book of this exchange, a swap is executed, meaning it all depends on the supply and demand of the coin you are trying to swap at the moment the swap is made. That said, for a couple of weeks now we've been facing an issue with Graviex's API not working properly and as a result, swaps are being made, but these are being wrongfully communicated to our system, resulting in them getting stuck. When this is the case, a user's swap is manually processed by the technical team. We are aware of this issue, and it is taking a lot of our resources to find a fitting solution, but with V5.0 of the app, this will be resolved. For now, we are looking into if it is worth making some changes and investing some development resources in fixing this issue for the current version of the app as well.
2. Q: "Why do mining payouts take so long and why is the reward lower?"
A: This question has already been answered multiple times, but it keeps popping up in our channels. Right now, we are facing issues with the mining operation that is being handled by a third party. As we are not sure what exactly is the problem with them, we are looking into it and keeping the community up to date as well as possible. Because a large portion of our miners has broken down, without any clarification or evidence to support this we are now awaiting further information from them.
3. Q: "When will the new app be released?"
A: We aim to have the app live in Jan 2022, as we want to take the time to test the new app extensively and have to keep in mind app releases are still somewhat delayed due to Covid-19 and the fact we are nearing the holiday season as well. To make sure the new app is 100% working correctly and functional we think it is safe to say that the new app will be officially released and available in Jan 2022.
4. Q: "Why have my Nodes been restarted?"
A: Due to unannounced server maintenance by one of our service providers, approx. 80% of our server structure went offline for 45-60 minutes over 3-4 days. Because of that, some users may have had nodes going offline or nodes not providing rewards anymore. In the meantime, we have managed to get most of these nodes online again and are ready to be started by the users.
