Hi everyone,
We would like to inform the community about a few upcoming changes to the official Flits (community) channels. This includes changes to Telegram as well as Discord. For Discord, we will be making some aesthetic changes mostly, I will include a full list in this announcement.
For Telegram, we have made the choice to stop with the ‘community channel’ and solely focus on the Flits Wallet – Announcement channel. The reason we are choosing this path is that we have received too many messages from users encountering scammers in the channel. After doing some research into other projects experiencing the same issue with scammers and also being a service provider within the crypto space, we have made the decision to stop supporting this channel and move to the Flits Wallet – Channel. To make sure people are able to have discussions and have a way to provide feedback to the project, we will support comments on the topics and announcements that will be shared in the Flits Wallet – Announcement channel.
We understand some of you may not like this decision, but we have reached a point where too many investors have been victimized by these online criminals. Because Flits also has a lot of people joining the app who are new to crypto, we want to reduce the risk of users being targeted to a minimum. Again, maybe not the ideal situation for some of you, but definitely in the interest of the Flits App users and community. In the end, we feel it is our responsibility to protect our users from these practices.
The deadline to move to the new channel is December 1st. 2021. After that date, the Flits (FLS) channel on Telegram will cease to exist.
Another important subject we would like to discuss is the new Flits Wallet website that will be released with the new app. We have decided to not only change the website’s design, but also start using the website as a dedicated hub to share information and receive feedback from the users. Meaning all the information on the Flits project will be released to other channels from the official website, such as Telegram, Twitter, and Discord. This gives the project a much more professional appeal and makes sure information is always easily retraceable for our users.
We will also update the coin listing form, job offer page, and contact form and add those to the new website. Plus, we will have a dedicated person within the team taking care of these requests. With the new website, most of these things can and will be automated, making the whole process smoother and with better feedback to the applicant and projects who reach out to us.
Last but not least are the upcoming changes to Discord.
- Official channels; will be reduced to two sub-channels:
- Flits Wallet
- Server-rules
- News; will be limited to announcements
- Flits Activity; will be created as a category and includes;
- Feedback; showcasing reviews
- App activity; showcasing new users, new nodes, and new
- Public channels; will be reduced and most of these channels will be incorporated inside the new website. Will be rebranded to General chat.
- Desktop wallet support; will be removed when we swap to Defi
- International; will stay
Please understand these channels are not yet 100% final. There are still things we can maybe incorporate in one way or another. But this should give a rough idea of the upcoming changes.
We believe these changes will bring more stability and a better way of managing the community. I think we can all agree it is nice to have channels asking for feedback and input from the community, but when we are not able to act on it, it has no added value for the users nor the project. Therefore, we believe this new structure provides a better stream of information management, and it can be funneled more easily to the right person in the team. Meaning feedback can be transferred into actions and improvements of the Flits ecossytem.
