We would like to share an update on some of the information that has been shared by us about upcoming and ongoing development. We see there is still a lot of confusion about new features, extending existing features, and overall development. Therefore, we have screened the community channels for topics and elaborate on these in this article.
Update selling workers in the Flits app:
Since last year, we have seen many users asking for the availability of selling their workers (mining stakes) inside the Flits app. We would like to inform everyone that this feature will be postponed to after the new update for the Flits app. We have been working on this during the last couple of months, but due to the massive growth of the project this year, we have not been able to implement any sort of sell functionality. Because we do not want to leave users in the dark around this subject, we have decided to make a small announcement and inform you about this development. That said, we are not able to pin an exact date on when this feature will be available in the app, as we are still testing the viability of the feature.
Translating the app:
We have also been sharing with the public that we will be translating the app into different languages to expand the ecosystem to other countries. Although we have already sourced translators, and we are able to translate the app into its current form, we will wait until the new app version is live and from there start the process of translating the app. Again we have no set date for releasing this, but we can expect the next languages to be implemented first: German, French, Spanish, Portuguese. We are still facing some challenges surrounding this subject, and therefore we believe it is more important to have a correct and well-functioning international version available, in this case, English as the dominant language.
Flits gateway (FIAT/CRYPTO):
This feature will be included in the next app update and with the release of Flits V5.0. Please bear in mind this will also require the implementation of some sort of KYC. To be clear, this is a voluntary feature for everyone who wants to make use of it, meaning there will be no form of mandatory KYC to make use of the Flits app or other features inside the Flits app.
Flits Exchange Listings:
As for now, Flits will not be listed on any other exchanges until we have rolled out Flits V5.0. Although we have been in contact with different exchanges to discuss listing possibilities, we are simply not able to find sufficient funds to justify a listing with one of the larger exchanges. A second challenge we are facing is that the project is just too small to attract larger investors and risk a scenario where our coin will be submitted to a pump and dump situation. Therefore, we try to protect our investors and our ecosystem, by graduating and growing with the app.
That being said, we would also like to take this opportunity to address some other changes to our users and investors. We know communication has not always been the best with Flits and timelines, deadlines, etc. have not always been honored by the team. Because of this, we have had some ups and downs with the project and miscommunication in our channels (mainly Discord). As this issue has been going on for a long time, we have been investing in a better internal communication structure to make sure the whole team is aligned. With over five different nationalities and three different time zones within the Flits team at times, it can be challenging to have everyone committed to a good organizational structure. Therefore, we have been submitting ourselves to a new workflow and new organizational structure that seems to work better. We are still not in the position we would like to be in, but with new team members being introduced we believe we are working hard to achieve this goal.
